We’ve chosen to supply the KW Motorsport range as each kit is made bespoke to order, we are able to supply them with our choice of spring and damper ratings.

To supply a KW competition kit, we will need to know as many details about your car, tyre, application and modifications. With this information we are able to give options for various spring and damper ratings. Most kits will be supplied with the spring over the damper front and rear but we do have a limited range of inboard springs front and rear if required.

KW Competition 2-Way Adjustable Twin Tubes

KW Competition 2 way suspension kits feature independent rebound and compression damping. They can be constructed out of galvanized steel housings when structural strength is a concern or lightweight aluminum when weights savings is advantageous. The following damper versions are available:

  • Independently adjustable rebound and compression damping technology
  • Stainless steel technology "inox-line"
  • Continuous lowering
  • Tested adjustment range
  • High-quality components for a long-term durability
  • Adjustable rebound damping with 16 precise clicks
  • Adjustable compression damping with 12 precise clicks
  • Unique independent damping force adjustment
  • Optional spherical bearing aluminum top mounts

KW Competition 3-Way Adjustable Monotube

The KW competition 3-way racing coilovers provide 3 independent features of adjustment, low-speed rebound as well as high and low-speed compression adjustment. The unique valve technology of the 3-way damper system differs from the conventional mono-tube damper shim package valve technology. This design also provides a maintenance-friendly damper system.

KW Competition 4-Way Adjustable Solid Piston

KW focuses on its successful motorsport suspension technology with KW Solid Piston Technology and modular design with damper valves connected in series. KW assures precise and fast damping without delay in sports cars and super sports cars. The shock absorbers and valves react directly, even with small spring travel, minimal steering movements, and minor road undulations. Every driving manoeuvre and every input, such as those generated during braking, acceleration, steering, load changes, and undulations, are damped much more precisely. The KW Solid Piston dampers provide much more platform support to the chassis than conventional dampers and thus, depending on the vehicle body allow for lower spring rates to be used.

The McPherson Technology

McPherson struts utilize a 40mm damper cartridge providing a highly stable and laterally flex resistance construction. The inverted damper is guided in an outer tube housing via a standard bearing. Special linear bearings are optional and reduce any possibility of rod stiction. This is an ideal setup when racing with wide and soft compound race tires.

As wheel-guiding struts are exposed to maximum loads during cornering and braking, the benefit of KW linear guided bearings grow at an increasing lateral force of up to 87% less friction compared to plain bearings.
